Accra, GHANA – Lucky Trip, the Ghanaian reality TV series that engages young people with entertaining education, is back for Season 3. In partnership with the United States Government, through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), Ghana Health Service, CFAO by Suzuki, and Lifebuoy, this season features fifteen of Ghana’s beloved celebrities, including luminaries like James Gardiner, Roselyn Ngissah, David Osei, and Elikem the Tailor. During each episode, unsuspecting riders catch a ride with a celebrity, engaging in a conversation about important public health issues.
“The episodes will shed light on vital topics like adolescent health, family planning. We will learn important health messages, but in a way that makes it real to all of us,” said USAID Ghana’s Acting Health Office Director Dr. Stephen Dzisi at Friday’s premiere.
Mrs. Mabel Anim, Deputy Director for Health Promotion Division at the Ghana Health Service, highlighted their commitment to fostering health-conscious behaviors through media. “Through mass media and TV programs, we enlighten Ghana’s population about essential health behaviors,” she explained.
Mawule Messan, speaking for production company Sacrefilms, shared the show’s evolution. “Lucky Trip originated from the idea of connecting celebrities with their authentic selves to inspire youth. It takes viewers on a visual journey through Ghana while addressing health challenges and solutions.”
