MEL Advisor – Ghana Somubi Dwumadie



Tropical Health is seeking a MEL Advisor Consultant to oversee the operationalisation and conclusion of programme MEL activities, results, learning and guidance for the final year of the Ghana Somubi programme. Ghana Somubi Dwumadie (Ghana Participation Programme) is a four-year disability programme in Ghana, with a specific focus on mental health and is funded with UK aid from the UK government.

The applicant should have technical expertise in the field of health programme MEL, including leading system development and implementation, and with experience of concluding programme activities. They should be able to confidently engage with teams, partners and stakeholders to strengthen individual and institutional MEL. They should have demonstrated experience of managing complex MEL systems, data collection and analysis, with knowledge of multi stakeholder programmes particularly important.

An understanding of social inclusion, safeguarding and value for money principles for M&E purposes, and a working knowledge of the MEL experience in the context of programme delivery by a consortium of organisations is essential.

The consultancy will start in September 2023 and finish at the end of March 2024 with 70 days to be used on a call down basis. There is a possibility of an extension to the end of September 2024 which will be confirmed in due course.
